“One of the first conditions of happiness is that the link between man and nature shall not be broken”.
– Leo Tolstoy
Time spent among trees is time spent well. The beautiful green environment in Col Brown School is a treat to the eyes. The management takes special care to encourage tree plantation from time to time.
In recognition of our plantation drive and ensuring hundred per cent survival of the plants,’ the Friends of Doon’, an organisation working towards the protection and conservation of the environment has always applauded our efforts.
The society represented by the President, Mr.Rajive Rekhi and ex-President Mr.Arijit Banerjee, presented a plaque and coupons worth Rs.10,000/- to provide books for the School Library. Mrs.Rekhi and two daughters of Mr. Arijit Banerjee, Ronjana and Mondira accompanied them.
The ‘Friends of Doon’ provide us with the trees required each year and help us also to plant them. They are kind enough to promote our leaf mould, which they find excellent and procure it for the healthy growth of plants in the city.
Our endeavour is to contribute towards the preservation of the Eco system and provide a healthy environment for our students who will continue to keep their area green.
